Another great day of riding up the coast. One of the Eureka locals told me yesterday that if the wind is blowing it’s a good thing – clears the clouds out. Well the wind was sure as hell blowing today and the sun eventually came out. Lots of the morning portions of the trip were in a heavy forest fog that was amazing to travel through. The bike handles like a dream with the new back tire (circa Las Vegas, NV) and I was able to carve my way through the scenery like riding a cloud.
As I rode this morning a thought kept ringing through my head. A friend of mine used to refer to doing his hobby (boating, camping, fishing, etc) on Sunday mornings as “Going to Church.” I’m not a particularly religious person, but boy did I Go to Church this morning.
One last thing, I kept telling myself that I would find some “answer” on this trip. While I was riding today I realized, much like in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, that even if I had the answer, I’m not sure what the question is. Anyway….shit’ll buff out.
